Why Networks Matter

As a result of the exponential rise in technology over the past few decades, networking has had a massive affect on globalization. Because of networking and the internet, people can now share their thoughts, opinions, ideas, beliefs, and much more with just a click of a button. This has lead to a “global-local” network that no longer has any boundaries. Before the internet, networks weren’t capable of reaching the global level that they’re at today. At that level they would become too unorganized and would quickly fail to work. With the internet however, networks have grow on a global scale unimaginable. Networks now connect anyone to everything and it’s never been more easy to be a part of it. It is because of these networks that globalization has become what it is today. Our global network has influenced the world in more ways than we can imagine. From funny YouTube videos to rising up against a dictator, networks and globalization have changed the way the world runs.
